Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NetraWeb ("NetraWeb," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use netraweb.com. Questions: support@netraweb.com. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

• Account information: email address, name, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and optional phone number.
• Content you post: community posts, comments, giveaway and secondhand listings, job and housing listings, photos, and any contact details you choose to include. Posts and listings are public by design.
• Location: if you choose to use nearby search, we use your approximate location or the city you select to show listings within your chosen distance. We do not store your precise location.
• Newsletter: your email address and subscription status if you sign up.
• Reports and support messages you send us.
• Posting on your behalf: if you ask us to post a listing for you, we collect the name, email, and phone number you give us to manage that listing. Only the contact details you agree to share are shown on the listing; the rest stays private and is deleted together with the listing.
• Usage and device information: pages viewed, browser type, approximate location from IP address, and log data for security.

We use information to: provide and operate NetraWeb; display your posts and listings; show nearby listings; send service emails and, if you subscribe, our newsletter; respond to support requests and reports; detect fraud, scams, spam, and abuse (including automated screening of new listings and images); improve the service; show ads that help keep NetraWeb free; and comply with law.

Posts, listings, and any contact details you include are visible to anyone and may be found by search engines. Do not post your home address, ID numbers, or other sensitive information. When you deal with other users, you share information with them directly, and we are not responsible for how they use it.

• We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
• We use Google Analytics to understand visits and usage, and Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
• We show, or may show, ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ad Settings or at aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we ask for consent before using ad cookies.
• If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of personalized advertising and request non-personalized ads only.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:

• service providers that run NetraWeb for us: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (database, file storage, and login), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), Upstash (rate limiting to prevent abuse), Sentry (error monitoring), Anthropic (automated screening of listings and images for fraud and prohibited content, and AI features), and Google (analytics and ads, as described above);
• the public, for content you post;
• authorities or other parties when required by law, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to prevent imminent harm. We do not give a user's information to another user who asks for it without legal process; and
• a buyer or successor if our business is transferred, subject to this policy.

Because Google AdSense may use cookies for personalized ads, some state laws may treat this as "sharing" or "selling" personal information. You can opt out as described in Section 5.

• Account information: while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete your login and anonymize your profile right away, and remove your posts and listings from public view.
• Posts and listings: when you delete a listing or post, or close your account, we remove it from public view right away and permanently delete it, including its photos, within 30 days. Free listings expire after 30 days, are archived (no longer shown) 90 days after they expire, and are permanently deleted one year after they expire. If a report about the content is still open, we keep it until the report is resolved.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so we do not email you again.
• Security and audit logs: up to 90 days.
• Reports and records of actions taken under our Terms: as long as needed to handle the report, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms.

You can edit or delete your posts and listings, and close your account, from your profile page. To ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, email support@netraweb.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any newsletter email.

We use HTTPS and access controls, and we rely on providers that encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Washington law.

NetraWeb is not directed to children under 13, and accounts are for adults 18 and older. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents can contact support@netraweb.com.

NetraWeb is operated in the United States, and your information is stored in the United States.

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or on NetraWeb at least 14 days before they take effect.
