Generally this includes 5 years as a permanent resident (3 years if married to a citizen), residence and physical-presence requirements, and basic English and civics tests.

The interview covers a review of your application plus English reading, writing, and speaking, and answers to civics questions. Practicing with the official 100 questions in advance greatly reduces the pressure.
